Becoming a WAHM

If you like the idea of becoming a WAHM and making money online, what do you need to achieve from it?

Chances are the answer is 'money', but think beyond that...you need to be doing somethingthat you enjoy and something that will motivate you to keep working at it.

Are you suited to becoming a WAHM?

1. Who are YOU? What are your experiences in life?

Think about these and write down your answers:

What do you enjoy doing?
What gives you a buzz?
What job do you do?
What did you enjoy at school/college etc
What are you really passionate about, or could be?
What do you 'know' that others perhaps don't, and would be interested to know?
Do you have a stash of course work you have done at some point?
Do you have an existing site/venture that just needs a boost?
What do people say you are good at? What do they come to you for?

The point of this exercise is to find something that you could do for yourself online. Forget 'get rich quick' scams or where you are doing rubbish work for someone else but in "the comfort of your own home"...do something that 'you' want to do.

2. Also Look at Your Lifestyle

Now you need to ask yourself, what will your current circumstances allow you to do with your time and energy.

Could you spare the time to run a 'physical' business such as being an ebay seller, ebay trainer, consultant etc
Do you need maximum flexibility, so a purely online venture would bemore suitable? Even with eBay, you have committments to your buyers,so if you would struggle to meet these don't 'do eBay' unless you areselling digital products that are delivered instantly.
How much time could you spend on building an online business - even if it's just a couple of hours a week, fitting it in when you can, or want to!
Do you have a partner who will support your ideas, and if not, does it matter?

Online work at home opportunities vary in the demands they place on your time - they can be active or passive. As a single work at home mum I wanted a 'passive' job so that I could have maximum flexibility for the unexpected! That's why I chose to work purely online, writing about what I know.
